We won the Ox In A Box Food Awards!

We learned at the beginning of January this year that ‘Ox In A Box’ were to hold their own Oxfordshire food awards (run by Katherine MacAlister - food editor and critic for 20 years and Sarah Edwards who is the voice on the online entertainment site blogs). They published eight categories with 10 restaurants nominated per category and we were thrilled to see The Cinnamon Stick made the Best Global Food and the Best Vegetarian/Vegan food categories!

Then the public voted and we became a finalist in the Veggie/Vegan category! So with excitement and trepidation, we attended the awards ceremony held on Monday of this week (27th January) where we mingled with120 other restaurateurs, chefs and front of house staff all wondering who was going to win and then the time came and the winners were announced…. We won the Best Vegetarian/Vegan food category!!!

The famous chef; Raymond Blanc presented us with our award and to say we were excited is an understatement! We celebrated this fabulous accolade with lots of bubbly and Khalid even managed to have a chat with Raymond Blanc – chef to chef! We wish to thank everyone for voting for us - it really does mean a lot to us.
